Kalanag Expedition, also known as Black Peak Expedition. It is one of the top expeditions and is now the most popular trip.
Everybody wants to summit this mountain. It is located in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi district. Swargarohini Peak and Bandarpoonch are connected by this. This summit rises to a height of 6387 metres.
The excursion begins at Sankri Base Camp. The starting point for this journey is in Kyarkoti and Ruinsara Tal. Due to the hill in front, the snow doesn't stop, giving it a snake-like appearance. It seems dark from the front because of this. It bears the name Kalanag peak as a result.
The Black Peak Expedition is referred to as "Kala Nag" in the regional language because the peak's top resembles a black cobra.
With a height of 6,387 metres, this peak is the tallest in the Saraswati Mountain Range and is located close to Ruinsara Valley. Bandarpoonch (I) (6316 m) and Hanuman Parvat (Bandarpoonch II) are further summits (6,102 m).
Here, Swargarohini and Bandarpoonch combine to form a stunning mountain range. This expedition gains popularity. It is crucial for anyone who aspires to climb Mount Everest to do so first in order to gain experience and boost confidence.
This hike is part of the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary National Park in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi district. The Himalayas are without a doubt beautiful, having a brisk climate, and ideal relaxing green meadows.
What could possibly be better than spending a few days here in the peace and quiet? Starting at base camp, this trip will take you via Taluka, Osla, Devsu Bugyal, and Runsar Tal.
Beautiful flowers, various kinds of flora and wildlife, and all kinds of animals, including goats, snow leopards, and other species, may all be seen along the route to Devsu Bugyal.
The obstacles along the route include a 75-foot ice wall and a 70-degree gradient as well as glaciers and tree lines. You must technically cross the peak; only experienced climbers who are looking for an adventurous journey choose to do so.
